Finance Manager

Job Title: Finance ManagerLocation: Reading, UKType: Full-timeSalary: £60,000 - £70,000 + up to 30% bonus + benefits

An exciting opportunity for a qualified finance professional to join a lean, entrepreneurial team in the fast-growing battery energy storage sector. This is not your typical finance role - as Finance Manager, you'll be hands-on with live investments, commercial strategy, and deal execution across the business. Perfect for someone looking to blend strong financial skills with exposure to the commercial and strategic side of a dynamic, high-growth company.

• Lead core finance functions: bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, budgeting, management accounts, and compliance

• Support preparation of financial reports for shareholders, auditors, and lenders

• Take ownership of financial models for active projects and new investments

• Contribute to investment papers and assist in fundraising processes

• Work closely with the project delivery team on budget management and cash flow forecasting

• Assist in improving internal systems and streamlining financial processes

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CFA) with around 1-5 years post-qualification experience

• Advanced Excel skills with confidence in building and managing financial models

• Analytical mindset with strong commercial awareness

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

• Prior exposure to the renewable energy, infrastructure or start-up sectors is advantageous, but not essential

• Competitive base salary (£60k-£70k)
